Job Description
A Sr. Solution Architect at Esri partners with utility customers to design and implement advanced GIS solutions using ArcGIS enterprise platform, providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and leadership to ensure successful deployment and integration within complex utility environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement ArcGIS platform-based strategies and solutions for complex customer requirements
- Define business continuity plans for on-premises and cloud deployments, ensuring security and governance
- Translate customer system requirements into software architecture and design specifications
- Advise customers on innovative GIS solutions using Esri technology to support decision-making
- Develop and recommend GIS architectures, strategies, and migration plans for clients
- Collaborate with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify GIS workflows for enterprise and non-Esri platforms
- Develop multi-year organizational GIS strategies to support technology change and budgeting
- Mentor and lead technical teams through all stages of GIS solution implementation
- Plan and script automation for ArcGIS platform deployment in collaboration with DevSecOps teams
Requirements
- 12 years in GIS platform architecture and solution design
- 5 years of significant, proven experience applying GIS technology within the electric and gas utilities sector
- Proven experience with ArcGIS Enterprise desktop, server, online
- Proven experience with RDBMS Oracle and SQL server environments
- Proven experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages including Python, JavaScript, HTML5, Terraform, Powershell, and Chef
- Knowledge of integrating GIS with ERP, EAM, CRM, SCM systems
- Experience with service-oriented architectures and cloud hybrid configurations
- Strong ability to lead teams, manage budgets and risks, and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $132,600 - $216,320 USD
Work schedule: twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year
