Job Description
A Sr. Solution Architect at Esri designs and implements advanced GIS solutions using ArcGIS enterprise platform for utility clients, providing technical leadership, strategic planning, and consulting to meet complex business and technical needs in a cloud or on-premises environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement ArcGIS platform-based strategies and solutions for complex customer requirements
- Define business continuity plans for on-premises and cloud deployments following industry standards
- Translate customer system requirements into software architecture and design specifications
- Advise customers on innovative GIS solutions using Esri technology to support decision-making
- Develop and recommend strategies for software implementation, migration, and GIS workflows
- Collaborate with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify GIS workflows for enterprise and non-Esri platforms
- Develop multi-year organizational GIS strategies to support technology change and budgeting
- Mentor and guide technical staff and colleagues throughout project implementation
- Lead all stages of ArcGIS platform deployment, including automation scripting and DevSecOps collaboration
Requirements
- 12 years in GIS platform architecture and solution design
- 5 years of significant, proven experience applying GIS technology within the electric and gas utilities sector
- Proven experience with ArcGIS Enterprise desktop, server, online
- Proven experience with RDBMS Oracle and SQL server environments
- Proven experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Proven experience with programming and scripting languages including Python, JavaScript, HTML5, Terraform, Powershell, and Chef
- Knowledge of integrating GIS with ERP, EAM, CRM, SCM systems
- Experience with service-oriented architectures and cloud hybrid configurations
- Strong ability to lead teams, manage budgets and risks, and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $132,600 - $216,320 USD
Work schedule: Twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year
