Job Description
A Sr. Software Development Engineer role focused on developing advanced GIS software solutions that leverage computer vision, machine learning, and AI to extract and analyze geospatial data from imagery, video, and LiDAR, supporting infrastructure and asset management applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate computer vision and AI/ML models for object extraction and change detection
- Build scalable software solutions for processing imagery, video, LiDAR, and 3D geospatial data
- Optimize and deploy machine learning models in production environments using Python, C, and C++
- Evaluate emerging AI/ML frameworks, including large language models
- Contribute to system architecture, performance optimization, and code quality
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product teams in an Agile environment
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years in software development with a focus on AI, machine learning, and computer vision.
- Strong programming skills using Python and experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and Keras.
- Proficiency in computer vision tasks including detection, segmentation, feature extraction, and model training.
- Experience with C programming language and exposure to C.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a STEM-related field.
- Ability to develop and integrate computer vision and AI ML models such as YOLO, SAM, DINO, etc. for object extraction and change detection.
- Experience building scalable software solutions for imagery, video, LiDAR, and 3D geospatial data.
- Experience with optimizing and deploying ML models in Python, C, and C++ for production environments.
- Ability to evaluate emerging AI ML frameworks, including large language models.
- Experience with system architecture, performance optimization, and maintaining high code quality.
- Strong problem-solving, research, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in geospatial GIS data and 3D point cloud processing.
- Experience with OpenCV and other computer vision frameworks.
- Knowledge of graphics frameworks such as OpenGL and DirectX.
