Job Description
A Senior iOS Software Developer at Esri's Field Apps team responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-performance mobile applications that support field data collection, mapping, and real-time location-aware decision-making, using Apple technologies and collaborating with a team to create impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test iOS applications with a focus on performance and user experience
- Collaborate with developers and designers throughout the development process
- Understand and implement solutions for real-world scenarios such as offline data synchronization and real-time mapping
- Develop software for field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, and navigation
- Solve complex technical challenges related to device integration and application functionality
Requirements
- Be an Apple enthusiast and a game changer
- 5 years of commercial software development experience
- Proficiency in Objective-C and/or Swift
- Experience with Xcode
- Developing with the Cocoa and Cocoa Touch APIs
- Object-oriented design skills
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Experience developing iOS applications related to performance optimization and caching
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
- Ability to thrive in an environment that changes often
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics
