Job Description
This role involves developing, analyzing, and maintaining high-quality global vector basemaps using GIS and software engineering skills, collaborating with a team to improve mapping data and services for users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, analyze, and release updates to Esri's global vector basemaps
- Design and implement processing improvements for high-quality basemaps
- Investigate issues and collaborate to improve product quality and user experience
- Coach and mentor product engineers in map development and delivery
Requirements
- 5 years of experience improving and maintaining data pipelines, QA systems, and release processes for software and data-driven products
- Proficient in the software development lifecycle, including QA and production release
- Experience with Esri technology ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Platform, and Windows-based server deployment
- Knowledge of web servers Apache, Tomcat, IIS and SaaS environments
- Skilled in Python, SQL, and scripting for automation of build and QA processes
- Methodical, quality-focused, and collaborative team player
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
