Job Description
This role involves managing federal government accounts by leveraging geospatial technology, building relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and providing solutions to support organizational missions using GIS expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities with new and existing customers
- Understand customer needs, industry relevance, and key stakeholders
- Use solution selling to address customer challenges and demonstrate the value of Esri technology
- Execute account management and sales processes to close opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to define and implement account strategies
- Participate in trade shows, workshops, and seminars to promote solutions and build networks
Requirements
- 8 years of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience
- 5 years of experience working in or supporting the federal government
- Experience creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers
- Understanding of account management, account planning and opportunity strategy creation
- Demonstrated knowledge of the federal government, USDA, and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers
- Able to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization
- Ability to travel domestically 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field
