Job Description
This role involves managing federal government accounts by leveraging geospatial technology and GIS expertise to build relationships, identify growth opportunities, and deliver solutions that support organizational missions, primarily within the USDA. The position requires strategic account management, industry knowledge, and collaboration to drive adoption and success of Esri's GIS solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities with new and existing customers
- Understand customer needs, stakeholders, and business drivers
- Demonstrate industry knowledge and relevance of GIS to customer missions
- Use solution selling to address customer challenges and articulate the value of Esri technology
- Execute account management and sales processes to meet opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to define and implement account strategies
- Research industry trends and pursue professional development to anticipate customer needs
Requirements
- 8 years of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience
- 5 years of experience working in or supporting the federal government
- Experience creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers
- Understanding of account management, account planning and opportunity strategy creation
- Demonstrated knowledge of the federal government, USDA, and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers
- Able to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization
- Ability to travel domestically 25-50%
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field
