Job Description
The role involves managing enterprise sales and building relationships with federal civilian agencies to promote Esri's GIS technology solutions, helping clients address complex scientific and business challenges through geospatial analysis and modern technology integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deepen relationships with large, complex organizations and key stakeholders.
- Identify and develop new opportunities within high-level accounts.
- Understand customer needs, industry trends, and GIS technology relevance.
- Articulate the value of Esri solutions and support visual storytelling through presentations.
- Manage the sales cycle, execute account strategies, and meet revenue goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop and implement account plans.
- Stay informed on industry and technology trends to provide relevant solutions.
Requirements
- 8 years of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience
- 5 years of experience working in or supporting the federal government public sector
- Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with large customers
- Possess financial and business acumen to build compelling account growth strategies
- Advanced knowledge of the public sector industry and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers
- Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and the public sector as they relate to one another
- Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field
