Job Description
The role involves researching and developing AI-based solutions for 3D geometric processing, including creating and evaluating datasets, designing pipelines for building extraction from various 3D data formats, and collaborating on productization and implementation of prototypes into production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prototype pipelines for LOD3x building extraction from photogrammetric meshes, point clouds, and gaussian splats
- Create datasets for statistical evaluation of prototype and production code
- Develop and implement quantitative metrics for evaluating pipeline performance
- Run and analyze leaderboards of pipeline modifications and parameters
- Collaborate with stakeholders and developers on productization and geoprocessing tools
- Convert prototypes into production-grade implementations in C
- Design and implement automated tests for software quality assurance
- Present research and development work at conferences and industry venues
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python programming and Geoprocessing using ArcPy.
- Experience working with 3D data in ArcGIS and third-party libraries, including common data formats, visualization, and analysis tools.
- Knowledge of CGAL mesh solvers, fTetWild, Poisson mesh reconstruction, marching tetrahedra and cubes, and related 3D processing techniques.
- Familiarity with the ArcGIS stack, specifically working with multi-band rasters, point clouds, and multipatches, as well as deep learning packages.
- Experience with optimization and Deep Learning techniques.
- Proficiency with Windows and Ubuntu operating systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer or data science, mathematics, robotics, remote sensing, or computer vision.
