Job Description
This role involves developing high-performance, cross-platform GIS visualization and rendering technology using modern C standards, focusing on designing and building advanced graphics components for Esri's mapping SDKs, with an emphasis on spatial algorithms and graphics APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve complex spatial, mathematical, and rendering problems creatively
- Design and develop high-performance software components following industry standards
- Apply and promote good software engineering practices such as test automation and modularization
- Collaborate effectively with other software development teams in an agile environment
- Identify, analyze, and fix bugs and performance issues
Requirements
- Five years of commercial software development experience
- Fluent in and passionate about modern C (C11, C14, C17, C20)
- Experience with one or more of OpenGL, Direct3D, Metal, or Vulkan including shader programming
- Track record of implementing high performance rendering of large data volumes using standard graphics APIs
- Understanding of spatial and graphics algorithms and software design patterns
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field
