Job Description
The Senior Accountant will manage month-end close processes, review financial statements for international entities, ensure compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements, support audits, and improve accounting procedures. The role requires extensive accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Close subsidiary financial statements monthly in accordance with US GAAP
- Review and analyze financial statements for international entities to ensure statutory compliance
- Support international statutory audits and provide necessary documentation
- Understand and reconcile local GAAP and US GAAP financial transactions
- Review reconciliations, allocations, consolidations, and intercompany transactions
- Assist with month-end, year-end close processes, and annual audit activities
- Complete external audit requests by analyzing general ledger accounts
- Identify and implement process and procedure improvements
Requirements
- 8 years of relevant experience including experience with general ledger functions and month and year-end close process
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
- Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrates a detail-oriented and hands-on style, excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize demands to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking with the ability to analyze financial results
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or in a related field with an Accounting Certificate or qualification that meets California CPA eligibility requirements
- Experience with external audit requests by analyzing general ledger accounts and providing information to auditors
