Job Description
This role involves managing relationships and developing strategies to promote Esri's geospatial technology solutions within local government organizations, focusing on customer engagement, account growth, and industry expertise to support organizational missions and expand adoption of GIS technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for large organizations
- Identify new opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships
- Present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars to demonstrate expertise
- Understand customer needs, stakeholders, and decision-making processes
- Articulate the value of Esri technology related to local government
- Execute account management and sales processes to meet revenue targets
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop account strategies
- Share knowledge and mentor team members
Requirements
- Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with large customers
- Possess financial and business acumen to build compelling account growth strategies
- Advanced knowledge of local government and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers
- Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and local government as they relate to one another
- Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available)

Base salary range of $114,400 to $218,400 USD
