Job Description
This role involves developing advanced 2D and 3D GIS visualization software, utilizing graphics programming skills to create innovative mapping and geospatial solutions for a variety of professional users.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop 2D and 3D GIS software and visualizations
- Research, analyze, and implement real-time rendering features
- Identify, analyze, and fix bugs and performance issues
- Collaborate with software development teams in an agile environment
- Develop algorithms for high-performance computer graphics and data visualization
- Handle large volumes of input data through pre-processing and caching techniques
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience utilizing C programming language, working in the field of 2D or 3D computer graphics
- Familiarity with one or more of the following areas: Color management and overprinting for prepress workflows, Font text processing including text layouts for different languages, DirectX, OpenGL, or Vulkan APIs including GLSL and HLSL shader programming, Advanced software algorithms for high-performance computer graphics, 2D and 3D data pre-processing and visualization algorithms to handle large volumes of input data, Fast disk I/O caching and paging techniques to cache intermediate data flow, Human interaction device interfaces such as keyboard, mouse, 3D input, and touch devices, Multithreading and/or Parallel algorithms
- Ability to clearly describe and analyze a problem and to articulate a solution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management, prioritization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
- Existing work authorization for Germany
