Job Description
The role involves developing geoprocessing tools and workflows within ArcGIS Pro to solve complex geospatial problems, focusing on data conflation, spatial analysis, and integrating multiple data sources, while collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality GIS software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop conflation tools using algorithms for reconciling differences among multiple data sources
- Build and deliver high-quality software in a collaborative team environment
- Apply pattern recognition, similarity analysis, and computational geometry techniques in conflation processes
- Research and implement strategies to ensure scalability for large data volumes
- Explore hybrid methods and tools for conflation with additional data sources such as imagery, lidar, and GPS
- Follow design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment techniques
- Identify, analyze, and fix bugs and performance issues in the software
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with C or related software developing languages.
- Firm understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and design patterns.
- Ability to clearly analyze and describe problems, and propose solutions.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming patterns and parallel processing methods.
- Friendly, respectful, and open-minded attitude.
- Ability to collaborate with a team of software developers, product engineers, and others to build quality software and meet user demands.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computational geometry, or a related field.
