Job Description
A leadership role responsible for managing and mentoring a sales team focused on promoting and expanding the adoption of Esri's geospatial technology within State and Local Government sectors, driving strategic account development, and delivering solutions to complex organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the sales activities of the team through all stages of the account management process.
- Mentor and coach team members to improve performance and achieve sales objectives.
- Develop and implement location strategies for large, complex organizations within the public sector.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in government organizations.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of Esri technology and GIS to articulate its value to customers.
- Execute the sales cycle to close new opportunities and meet sector goals.
- Research industry trends and continuously develop professional expertise in GIS and related fields.
Requirements
- 8 years of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience
- 3 years experience mentoring, motivating, and coaching on a team
- Able to build compelling account growth strategies
- Advanced knowledge of Land Records, Public Works, Public Safety, and new technology trends, and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers
- Deep understanding of GIS and Esri technology
- Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of the fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex customer budgeting and acquisition processes
- Ability to successfully execute the sales cycle to close new opportunities to meet sector goals

Base salary range of $114,400 to $197,600 USD
