Job Description
A full-stack software engineer role focused on developing and testing GIS-based software for managing critical infrastructure data, supporting features in ArcGIS Pro, web services, and applications, with an emphasis on spatial data management, linear referencing, and collaboration with product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product teams to define software backlog, priorities, and release themes for GIS applications.
- Design, test, and document GIS software features and functionalities.
- Create and execute test plans, manage testing datasets, and perform various testing types including acceptance and regression testing.
- Develop and review user guides and technical documentation for accuracy and usability.
- Develop and demonstrate software capabilities to stakeholders and at conferences, incorporating feedback into product development.
- Collaborate with software engineers to define acceptance criteria for new features.
- Create automated tests using ReadyAPI and Python to ensure software quality.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of work experience in a related field such as software development, GIS, IT, architecture, or AEC.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro and knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of GIS data management practices.
- Understanding of linear referencing concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, information systems, IT, geography, computer science, or a STEM-related field.
