Job Description
A Product Engineer specializing in Utility Network at Esri, responsible for testing, documenting, and creating engaging content to demonstrate advanced utility network capabilities, data visualization, and workflows, while collaborating with software teams to ensure platform functionality and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and author test cases for Utility Network software features
- Collaborate with engineering teams to test ArcGIS platform functionalities related to Utility Network
- Troubleshoot and document software issues, reproduce bugs, and work with developers to resolve them
- Create and maintain technical content such as help documentation, tutorials, and guides on Utility Network capabilities
- Develop and produce content like blog articles, videos, and workflows to demonstrate best practices and features
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar software engineering environment and/or professional writing related experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and compelling content.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work proactively and volunteer assistance without being asked, especially under tight turnaround times.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile environment with a fluid mix of collaborative and independent work.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, cartography, computer science, English, or a related field.
