Job Description
A Product Engineer role focused on Utility Network at Esri involves testing and developing content related to utility network software capabilities, creating documentation and tutorials, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure the quality and effective communication of advanced GIS and data visualization solutions for utility and telecommunications networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and author test cases for Utility Network software features
- Collaborate with engineering teams to test ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise functionalities related to Utility Network
- Troubleshoot and document software issues, reproduce bugs, and work with developers to resolve them
- Create and maintain technical documentation, help guides, tutorials, and best practice content for Utility Network products
- Develop and produce content such as blog articles, videos, and guides to communicate product capabilities and workflows
- Test new features to ensure accurate representation across supported versions and products
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a similar software engineering environment and or professional writing related experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for innovative data visualizations and storytelling
- Enthusiasm for creating workflows, demos and giving presentations
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling content
- Effective time management and organizational skills to work proactively and volunteer assistance without being asked and under tight turnaround
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile environment with a fluid mix of collaborative and independent work
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, cartography, computer science, English, or related field
