Job Description
The Portal Product Engineer supports the development and testing of key features in ArcGIS Enterprise, focusing on Map Viewer, data management, and workflows, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a high-quality mapping software product.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and develop Map Viewer, ArcGIS Arcade, and data management workflows in ArcGIS Enterprise
- Collaborate with Product Engineers and Software Developers to resolve issues
- Create and execute manual test plans for software capabilities
- Prioritize and triage issues, including customer-reported bugs
- Document functionality and create workflow videos for internal and external audiences
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with ArcGIS software, preferably ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and/or various ArcGIS applications such as ArcGIS Field Maps.
- A bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience creating and executing manual test plans for new and existing software capabilities.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving issues in software development, including triaging customer-reported bugs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to support and guide the development of Map Viewer, ArcGIS Arcade, and data management workflows in ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Ability to collaborate cross-platform with Product Engineers and Software Developers to resolve issues.
- Ability to create and monitor automated tests.
- Experience with manual and automated testing practices and tools for functional and regression testing.
