Job Description
The Portal Product Engineer at ArcGIS Enterprise supports the development, testing, and documentation of Map Viewer, data management, and ArcGIS Arcade workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality GIS software solutions that meet user needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and develop Map Viewer, ArcGIS Arcade, and data management workflows in ArcGIS Enterprise
- Collaborate with Product Engineers and Software Developers to resolve issues
- Create and execute manual test plans for software capabilities
- Prioritize and triage issues, including customer-reported bugs
- Document functionality and produce workflow videos for internal and external audiences
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with ArcGIS software, preferably ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and/or various ArcGIS applications such as ArcGIS Field Maps
- A bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
- Experience creating and executing manual test plans for new and existing software capabilities
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving issues in software development, including triaging customer-reported bugs
- Ability to support and guide the development of Map Viewer, ArcGIS Arcade, and data management workflows in ArcGIS Enterprise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience with manual and automated testing practices and tools for functional and regression testing
- Experience with creating and monitoring automated tests
- Experience working with cross-platform teams including Product Engineers and Software Developers
- Ability to create and communicate functionality through software documentation and workflow videos for internal and external audiences
