Job Description
The role involves developing AI-integrated tools for urban planning within ArcGIS CityEngine, focusing on Python-based geoprocessing, traffic simulation, and rule authoring to support innovative city design and optimization projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Python tools for integrating generative AI and Traffic Simulation into ArcGIS CityEngine
- Create and maintain Python Geoprocessing tools and services
- Develop automated tests for Python scripts and screenshots
- Align and convert road graph schemas across various platforms and formats
- Author and QA CGA and Visual CGA rules
- Evaluate massing generations, 15-minute-city optimizations, and traffic simulations qualitatively and quantitatively
- Collaborate with cross-team developers and engineers throughout the R&D process
- Solve complex problems related to design, development, and user experience
Requirements
- At least 2 years of industry experience with ArcGIS Pro and Python Geoprocessing tools
- Experience with CityEngine, CGA, Visual CGA
- Proficiency with ArcGIS Server REST API and Geoprocessing services
- Proficiency in Python and Conda on Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with test automation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer or data science, mathematics, urban design, urban planning, or related fields
- Existing work authorization for Switzerland
