Job Description
The Principal Business Manager at Esri is a senior leader responsible for shaping long-term business strategy, leading complex cross-divisional initiatives, and providing strategic guidance on licensing, financial, and operational matters to support enterprise growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise executive leadership on cross-company business initiatives
- Develop scalable business frameworks for licensing, financial modeling, and global readiness
- Lead complex, cross-divisional initiatives to shape business evaluation and scaling strategies
- Shape pricing, go-to-market, and business relationship strategies across regions and product lines
- Assess external trends such as AI, regulations, and economic conditions to inform strategic decisions
- Mentor senior contributors and establish standards to improve organizational decision-making and scalability
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of experience in strategic business leadership roles.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated success leading initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.
- Track record of shaping strategy beyond a single portfolio.
- Recognized thought leader in the field of business strategy and frameworks.
- Experience designing scalable business frameworks for licensing, cost optimization, financial modeling, global readiness, and business feasibility assessments.
- Willingness and ability to travel 10-20% for strategic meetings, events, and tradeshows.
