A Landscape Technician at Esri is responsible for maintaining and developing urban landscapes through planting, pruning, irrigation repair, and landscape project management, utilizing horticultural knowledge and tools to ensure healthy and aesthetically pleasing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain landscapes by blowing leaves, debris, and trimming trees, shrubs, and groundcovers
Perform weed mitigation and interior plant care
Maintain, assess, and repair irrigation systems
Prune and shape trees and shrubs naturally
Plant shrubs and groundcovers
Assess and report landscape issues and needs
Manage and coordinate landscape projects from start to finish
Work independently to identify project requirements, develop timelines, and allocate resources
Requirements
Four years of experience in the landscape industry
Three years of irrigation experience
Horticulture knowledge
Experience with hand tools such as shovels, pruners, hand saws, and power tools including blowers, chain saws, line trimmers, and more
Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting or carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanics
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Organizational skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Self-motivated and able to take direction and follow through
Possess and utilize good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
A valid California driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement
High school diploma or equivalent
