Job Description
A solution engineer at Esri is responsible for demonstrating and supporting geospatial technologies and solutions, building customer relationships, and providing technical expertise to help clients leverage Esri's platform for solving spatial and business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions at the Geo Experience Center.
- Build relationships with customers and support sales strategies.
- Become a subject matter and technical expert on Esri’s platform and products.
- Communicate effectively with customers about Esri technologies and solutions.
- Proactively craft and propose geospatial technology solutions to address customer business challenges.
- Understand and employ spatial problem solving and integrate emerging geospatial concepts.
- Design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 1 year of experience in various industries
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to enterprise solutions
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Experience in mobile development and familiarity with Game Engine development
- Strong programming or scripting experience with either one or multiple of these languages: .NET, C, Kotlin, Swift, Python, JavaScript, Java
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, cloud computing
- Able to work in a high-stress, action-packed, intense teamwork environments
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
