Job Description
The role involves developing and executing marketing campaigns within the National Mapping and Charting industry, conducting industry research, collaborating with internal teams, and engaging with the user community to promote GIS solutions and industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and report on factors affecting the National Mapping and Charting markets
- Create, manage, and execute marketing campaigns and related internal communications
- Develop and deliver campaign tactics across various channels including conferences, trade shows, webinars, and digital media
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver campaigns and generate qualified leads
- Track and evaluate campaign progress, adjusting activities as needed
- Research, evaluate, and lead efforts on strategic industry positioning within the National Mapping and Charting domain
- Develop industry-specific solutions and offers in collaboration with business development and professional services teams
- Maintain and grow a user community through printed materials, online forums, and user groups
- Provide product demonstrations and industry expertise for press, analyst briefings, and customer meetings
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the National Mapping and Charting industry.
- Knowledge of GIS and its application within the National Mapping and Charting domains.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, strongly self-motivated, and able to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.
- Quick learner with a positive attitude.
- Strong decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, GIS, geography, or a related field.
