Job Description
A DevSecOps Engineer at Esri is responsible for implementing and supporting security practices across infrastructure, applications, and SaaS platforms, automating risk assessments, monitoring, and ensuring compliance, while collaborating with various teams to enhance security measures and cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support security compliance, risk assessment, data encryption, and monitoring solutions.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure and tools for secure software development and release automation.
- Research, recommend, and assist teams in adopting security tools, practices, and methodologies.
- Engineer and implement cloud security controls in collaboration with SaaS DevOps teams.
- Perform AWS and Azure infrastructure administration tasks.
- Create documentation on security practices, procedures, and tools.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of DevOps Engineering experience working in a SaaS environment
- Experience with Linux and Windows administration and shells
- Familiarity with cloud provider ecosystems including Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
- Experience with DevOps tools and concepts such as writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Ability to perform Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), as well as other forms of automation, via modern systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI, and more
- Familiarity with at least one automation-friendly programming language such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, Rust, or Ruby, or skilled in other languages and willing to expand your horizons
- Ability to define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS and Azure
- Experience with using application security validation tools for pentesting, component analysis, static analysis, and/or dynamic analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, or another technical degree with position-relevant experience
