Job Description
A systems engineer responsible for supporting and automating cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps workflows across multiple cloud platforms, including designing, implementing, and maintaining operational tools, containerized workloads, and security measures to ensure efficient and reliable application deployment and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain operational components in public and private clouds
- Create tools and processes to enhance operational workflows
- Configure and deploy containerized microservice workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to maintain production applications and infrastructure across multiple cloud providers and regions
- Work with development teams to improve build, test, and deployment workflows
- Design and develop automation tools for infrastructure management
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and trending tools within cloud environments
- Provide day-to-day support for applications, including deployment, patching, and administration
- Troubleshoot systems and perform root cause analysis
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and self-service workflows
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience, focused on infrastructure management and automation.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
- Experience with configuration management systems such as Puppet and Chef.
- Ability to write code in Python and PowerShell for infrastructure scripting.
- Strong understanding of build automation systems, such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Git.
- Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools, such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Ability to automate self-service workflows.
- Understanding of cloud and web security concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related STEM field.

Base salary range of $70,304 to $122,720 USD
