Job Description
The Senior Fire Protection Engineer will design and analyze fire protection systems for high-hazard facilities, supporting projects from initial concept to completion at a federal site in Indian Head, Maryland, working closely with construction management teams and ERG personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Design fire protection systems for high-hazard areas such as chemical processing and explosives storage facilities.
- Analyze existing or planned fire protection systems to ensure safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to support project lifecycle from concept design to commissioning.
Requirements
- Experience designing fire protection systems (FPS) and analyzing existing or planned FPS for high-hazard areas, such as chemical processing facilities or explosives storage facilities.
- Ability to support the full life cycle of projects from initial concept design through project completion and commissioning.
- Experience working closely with program construction management teams at a federal site.
- Proficiency in prioritizing, performing, and communicating effectively in a fast-paced environment.
