Job Description
A junior engineering construction technician supporting field oversight and technical activities on construction projects at the Naval Support Facility Indian Head, focusing on monitoring progress, verifying quality, ensuring safety, and assisting with project documentation in a hands-on, federal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support field-level construction oversight and technical activities at active construction sites.
- Monitor construction progress and verify quality of work.
- Ensure safety compliance on construction sites.
- Assist in supporting project documentation and record-keeping.
- Work closely with experienced Construction Managers and project teams to learn construction management processes.
Requirements
- Must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be an entry-level candidate seeking to start a career in construction management, engineering support, or field inspection.
- Must support field-level construction oversight and technical activities for projects at the Naval Support Facility NSF Indian Head.
- Must work closely with an experienced Construction Manager and project team to learn how to monitor construction progress, verify quality, ensure safety compliance, and support project documentation.
- Must be willing to work full-time, on-site at NSF Indian Head, Maryland.
- Must have the ability to support active construction sites and federal project environments.
- Must be able to perform hands-on activities related to construction site monitoring and inspection.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Must be able to perform physical activities associated with construction oversight, such as monitoring construction progress and verifying quality.
- Must be able to comply with safety regulations and ensure safety compliance on construction sites.
