Fire Alarm Technician

• 5+ years of experience with fire alarm technician duties, installing and repairing fixtures and components and related systems • NICET Level I certification • Demonstrated experience with NFPA 1, NFPA 101, NFPA 10, NFPA 13, NFPA 15, NFPA 20, NFPA 25, NFPA 30, and NFPA 72 • Demonstrated ability to collaborate/communicate effectively • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills • Experience repairing, troubleshooting and testing fire alarm systems • This position will require a pre-employment physical exam • This position requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds • Work may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, noise, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals) • You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach during shifts • Must be able to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items • Must be able to safely climb and descend ladders, stairways, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms and perform work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet • Must be able to perform work above shoulder level, including reaching, lifting, and manipulating tools and materials overhead • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
