Job Description
The position involves conducting research, testing, and technology development related to bioaerosols, aerosolized particles, and air monitoring systems, supporting environmental and public health initiatives within a federal laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research, testing, and evaluation of bioaerosols and aerosolized particles
- Develop and improve air monitoring systems for bioaerosol detection
- Perform laboratory experiments related to collection efficiency of bioaerosol sampling methods
- Collaborate with EPA scientists, engineers, and program leads on environmental and public health initiatives
Requirements
- The candidate must have strong technical expertise in bioaerosols, aerosolized particles, collection efficiency, and air monitoring systems.
- The candidate must have hands-on laboratory experience related to bioaerosol research and testing.
- The candidate must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- This is an onsite position within a federal laboratory environment supporting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
- The candidate must be able to work closely with EPA scientists, engineers, and program leads.
- The candidate must have the ability to contribute to research, testing, evaluation, and technology development in the field of bioaerosols.
- The candidate must possess the skills necessary to support mission-critical environmental and public health initiatives.
