The Energy Analyst at Equilibrium Energy will focus on advancing the company's data systems and platform by applying domain expertise to transform raw energy market data into accessible, insightful views, supporting analytics and decision-making in the clean energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with data engineers to define data ingestion requirements.
Develop and refine data models and create end-user tables using SQL and DBT.
Capture and analyze data utilization requirements from end-users.
Create data views and processes to make raw data explorable and understandable.
Manage quality assurance processes for data layers.
Research market data and monitor industry publications to stay updated on reporting requirements.
Support and improve data life-cycle and semantic layer for market data.
Requirements
BS or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience with energy market data, including nodal power market results, forecasting, and market research.
Demonstrated experience with SQL and Python ability to translate raw data into clean market views that allows the business to analyze market data.
Effective communication skills to synthesize business needs and translate them into product requirements.
