The Energy Analyst at Equilibrium Energy will enhance the company's data systems and platform by applying market and domain expertise to transform raw energy market data into accessible, insightful views, supporting analytics and decision-making in the clean energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with data engineers to define data ingestion requirements and develop data models.
Create and refine end-user data views and tables within Databricks using SQL and DBT.
Implement and manage data quality assurance processes and monitor data integrity.
Research market data, review industry publications, and stay updated on reporting requirements to ensure data system adaptability.
Translate raw data into understandable market insights to support business analysis and decision-making.
Requirements
BS or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience with energy market data, including nodal power market results, forecasting, and market research.
Demonstrated experience with SQL and Python ability to translate raw data into clean market views that allows the business to analyze market data.
Effective communication skills to synthesize business needs and translate them into product requirements.
