Job Description
The Senior Functional Analyst D365 F&O is responsible for gathering, designing, and supporting the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions to improve business processes, working closely with business and technical teams in a fast-growing renewable energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, vet, and challenge business requirements for D365 Finance Operations.
- Design scalable, secure, and user-friendly D365 solutions, including customizations and configurations.
- Develop recommendations, business cases, and estimates for new functionalities and process improvements.
- Test, implement, and support D365 capabilities, customizations, and configurations.
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, including design specifications and technical diagrams.
- Investigate and resolve D365 functionality, data, and interface issues.
- Support data migrations, troubleshooting, and ongoing system support.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and support teams to ensure proper testing and deployment.
- Assist with end-user training and provide mentorship to team members.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Finance, or Accounting.
- A minimum of 5 years of in-depth functional experience with Dynamics AX or D365, specifically Finance, Operations, Asset Management.
- Experience in designing and implementing complex business solutions.
- Strong experience as a D365 F O techno-functional.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and the ability to develop SQL queries to analyze data.
- Experience with core D365 capabilities including workflows, batch processing, data import export framework, and roles permissions.
- Understanding of information technology and D365 standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Ability to work with business customers and understand their processes and functions.
- Ability and interest in staying current on D365 and related technologies.
- Experience working with D365 modules, interfaces, and technologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to document requirements, recommendations, estimates, and system information in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience with estimating work and schedules.
- Experience working in a team environment and the ability to work independently within stated priorities.
- Ability to investigate data, application, and processes to determine problem sources in complex environments and identify and implement potential solutions.
- An understanding of basic accounting topics, including GL, AR, AP, FA, and Budgeting.
- Primarily computer-based work requiring extended periods of sitting at a computer and typing, with the ability to stand, walk, and carry or lift up to 50 lbs in support of team tasks.
- Ability to travel to domestic or international locations, including day trips and overnight.
