The Senior Functional Analyst at Enviva is responsible for gathering, vetting, and designing solutions for the company's Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations ERP system, working closely with business and technical teams to improve processes and system functionality.
Key Responsibilities
Gather and vet business requirements for D365 Finance Operations system
Design scalable, secure, and user-friendly D365 solutions, including customizations and configurations
Develop recommendations, business cases, and estimates for new functionalities and process improvements
Test, implement, and support D365 capabilities, customizations, and configurations
Create and maintain architecture documentation, technical diagrams, and integration details
Investigate and resolve D365 functionality, data, and interface issues
Identify and document process improvements and new capabilities for the organization
Coordinate with infrastructure and support teams to ensure proper testing and deployment
Document system requirements, configurations, and customizations clearly and concisely
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Finance, or Accounting.
A minimum of 5 years of in-depth functional experience with Dynamics AX or D365 or any ERP system, specifically Finance, Operations, Asset Management.
Experience in designing and implementing complex business solutions.
Strong experience as a D365 F O or any ERP techno-functional.
In-depth knowledge of SQL and the ability to develop SQL queries to analyze data.
Experience with core D365 or any ERP capabilities including workflows, batch processing, data import export framework, and roles permissions.
Understanding of information technology and ERP standards, procedures, and best practices.
Ability to work with business customers and understand their processes and functions.
Ability and interest in staying current on D365 and related technologies.
Experience working with D365 or any ERP modules, interfaces, and technologies.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the Enviva organization.
Ability to document requirements, recommendations, estimates, and system information in a clear and concise manner.
Experience with estimating work and schedules.
Experience working in a team environment and the ability to work independently within stated priorities.
Ability to investigate data, application, and processes to determine problem sources in complex environments and identify and implement potential changes and solutions.
Ability to work off-hours, including evenings and weekends on short notice.
Primarily computer-based work requiring extended periods of sitting at a computer, typing, and may include standing, walking, carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs in support of team tasks.
