Job Description
A Software Engineer at EnergyHub's Kapacity.io team will design, develop, and maintain software solutions for energy grid flexibility, focusing on virtual power plant optimization and integration of residential energy devices, using technologies like Go, Python, and AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the core software of Kapacity.io's optimization products
- Contribute to the codebase through work planning, retrospectives, and team improvement
- Collaborate with sales to translate business needs into technical solutions
Requirements
- A Software Engineer with 2 years of experience developing and deploying production-quality software.
- Experience with Go programming language, Python, Docker, and AWS.
- Experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with time series data.
- Ability to adapt and demonstrate resilience when facing new, difficult, and ambiguous challenges.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work weekly at the company's office in Helsinki.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of 4,000 to 5,000 EUR gross per month
Work schedule of typically 37.5 to 40 hours per week in accordance with Finnish Working Hours Act
