Job Description
A Senior Product Manager role focused on scaling electric vehicle (EV) products and solutions for virtual power plants, involving product strategy, development, and cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation in clean energy technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Uncover insights from user research, analytics, market research, and cross-functional input related to utility VPPs with electric vehicles
- Define, prioritize, build, document, and iterate on new products and features based on hypotheses and validation
- Own and evolve the product roadmap with strategic prioritization for different partners and customer journey stages
- Drive product strategy for EV partner integrations to connect with EV devices and unlock new value streams
- Improve platform scalability through enhanced analytics dashboards, product metrics, and testing practices
- Develop and monitor key product metrics, collaborating cross-functionally to improve performance
- Balance long-term strategic initiatives with short-term improvements to accelerate learning and impact
Requirements
- Six (6) years of software product management experience, including experience building software for EV management and/or VPP solutions.
- Ownership of at least one product from concept phase through launch and broader distribution.
- Experience working in EV software telematics, charging management, EV driver experience, or EV utility programs.
- Ability to test and validate or rule out new business models or products based on analysis of customer economics and strategic factors.
- Ability to quantify the impact of work and focus on the right commercial client outcomes.
- Deep data literacy with the ability to use modern BI tools and query techniques to produce insights from data for internal steering and customer value.
- Experience in aligning and influencing cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proactive communication style.
- Ability to think strategically and make tough prioritization decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing product roadmaps, defining, prioritizing, building, documenting, and iterating on new products and features.
- Experience developing strategy for EV partner integrations to connect with EV devices and unlock core use cases and new value streams.
- Ability to improve platform scalability through evolving analytics dashboards, product metrics, and testing practices.
- Ownership of key product metrics and collaboration with teams to drive improvements to those metrics.
- Experience balancing long-term strategic bets with short-term improvements to optimize speed of learning and time to impact.
