Job Description

The Service Technician for Battery Storage Systems is responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support of installed energy storage systems in Switzerland, working independently at customer sites and collaborating with regional teams to ensure system performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Switzerland.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers regarding service requests and technical inquiries.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and diagnostics to ensure system performance and availability.
  • Assist with commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing during installation phases.
  • Coordinate with remote monitoring centers to analyze alarms and implement corrective actions.
  • Create service reports, maintenance logs, and documentation according to company standards.
  • Provide technical feedback to engineering and project management teams to improve product reliability and performance.
  • Develop and improve service processes, tools, and best practices for future installations.
  • Travel within Switzerland to support customer sites and service needs.

Requirements

  • Abgeschlossene technische Ausbildung oder Berufslehre im Bereich Elektrotechnik, Mechatronik oder Automatisierung
  • Mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung als Service- oder Wartungstechniker
  • Nachgewiesene Erfahrung in der elektrischen Installation, Wartung oder im Field Service von industriellen oder energiebezogenen Systemen
  • Kenntnisse in Mittel- und Niederspannungssystemen, idealerweise mit Erfahrung in Batteriesystemen, USV-Anlagen oder erneuerbaren Energiesystemen
  • Fähigkeit, elektrische Schaltpläne zu lesen und zu interpretieren, Messungen durchzuführen und Fehler zu identifizieren
  • Praktische Erfahrung in der Fehlersuche sowie eine proaktive und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise
  • Hohes Maß an Selbstständigkeit in Kombination mit ausgeprägtem Verantwortungs- und Sicherheitsbewusstsein
  • Erfahrung in technischer Berichterstattung und im Umgang mit Service-Management-Tools
  • Zertifizierung für Arbeiten an Mittel- und Niederspannungsanlagen z. B. NIV 13, ESTI oder gleichwertig von Vorteil
  • Gültiger Führerausweis Kategorie B
  • Reisebereitschaft innerhalb der Schweiz sowie gelegentlich ins Ausland, projektabhängig ca. 40-50%
  • Fließende Deutschkenntnisse erforderlich, gute Englischkenntnisse erforderlich, Französisch und Italienisch von Vorteil
