Job Description
The Senior Counsel - Commercial will support the company's legal efforts related to commercial and EPC projects, working closely with the legal team to ensure compliance and facilitate energy infrastructure development globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the legal aspects of the company's commercial and EPC efforts
- Provide legal guidance on contracts and agreements related to energy projects
- Assist in managing legal risks associated with project development and operations
Requirements
- Support primarily the commercial and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) efforts of the company as a key member of the legal team.
- Report directly to the Chief Legal Officer.
- Possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal education.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in energy, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of commercial law, contract law, and EPC project agreements.
- Have experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts and EPC agreements.
- Be able to provide legal advice on project development, procurement, and construction matters.
- Have the ability to support legal compliance and risk management related to commercial and EPC activities.
- Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Be able to work remotely, as this position is LI-remote.
