Job Description
The Senior Energy Efficiency Project Manager will oversee and manage energy efficiency programs focused on commercial lighting and residential heating and cooling, driving project delivery, client communication, and program development to support energy savings and greenhouse gas reduction efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall direction, quality control, and completion of program deliverables for energy efficiency incentive programs.
- Develop and oversee multiple complex project budgets and tasks with minimal oversight.
- Communicate program progress to management and clients.
- Interact with clients, program participants, subcontractors, and external collaborators.
- Track utility and energy efficiency market trends and industry changes.
- Contribute to strategy development and new program design to expand impact.
- Support business development activities, including engaging utility partners and developing proposals.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, conference calls, and collaboration sessions.
- Conduct program status meetings, escalate issues, and resolve problems proactively.
- Manage interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient program operation and scope delivery.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in an energy, engineering, or environmental related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience with at least 2 years of experience in project management including partnership management and program design development.
- Proven success launching new programs and initiatives.
- Experience managing energy efficiency incentive programs and supporting business development activities (highly desired).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, including building team morale and fostering collaboration.
- Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including risk management and mitigation.
- Demonstrated expression of Energy Solutions values, particularly accountability, collaboration, and proactiveness.
- Experience supervising staff, mentoring to support junior staff growth, and delegating tasks.
- Strong verbal communication, writing, data analysis, and presentation skills.
- Strong client communication and client relationship management skills.
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office Office365, SharePoint, and OneNote.
- Ability to work, drive, and thrive juggling many activities and communications.
- Must be based in New England or willing to relocate to New England.
- Willingness to conduct occasional business travel.
- Ability to develop and manage multiple complex project budgets and tasks with minimal oversight.
- Ability to communicate program progress to management and clients.
- Ability to interact with clients, program participants, sub-contractors, and external collaborators.
- Experience tracking utility and energy efficiency trends and market changes in heating, cooling, and lighting industries.
- Experience contributing to strategy and new program design development to grow impacts.
- Experience organizing and facilitating in-person meetings, conference calls, and collaboration sessions.
- Experience conducting program status meetings, capturing escalations, and proactively resolving issues or escalating to management.
- Experience managing an interdisciplinary team to operate efficiently and deliver on program scope.
- Willingness to work in a predominantly remote environment with the ability to attend in-office as required.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and provide authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $92,000 to $125,000 annually, with a target of $106,250 based on experience and qualifications
