Job Description
The Energy Efficiency Associate supports the implementation and monitoring of energy efficiency and electrification programs by managing web applications, conducting technical testing, and providing support to internal teams, contributing to large-scale energy and greenhouse gas reduction efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor energy efficiency and electrification programs using proprietary software platforms.
- Manage various implementation tasks for large energy efficiency programs, including claim processing, outreach, and engineering support.
- Translate technical and non-technical energy program and equipment details for different audiences.
- Conduct user acceptance testing on web applications.
- Provide technical support by debugging, reproducing, documenting, and resolving issues in web application systems.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree with a quantitative focus, e.g., environmental science, engineering, information systems management, or a similar quantitative field, or a non-technical field with some technical experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent personal accountability and organization skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems involving formulas or complex data sets independently.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in working in a mission-driven and collaborative team environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in energy industry, technical roles, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to translate energy program and equipment details from non-technical to technical audiences, and vice versa.
- Experience conducting user acceptance testing on web applications.
- Ability to provide technical support to peers in non-technical roles by working with internal clients to debug, reproduce, document, and fix problems on production web application systems.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid work environment with preference for candidates on Pacific Time.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $60,000 to $70,000, with a target of $60,000 to $66,500 based on experience and qualifications
