Job Description
The Energy Efficiency Associate supports the implementation and monitoring of energy efficiency and electrification programs by launching low-code solutions, providing technical support, and translating technical details for nontechnical audiences, contributing to energy savings and greenhouse gas reduction efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor energy efficiency and electrification programs using proprietary software platforms.
- Manage various implementation tasks for large energy efficiency programs, including claim processing, outreach, and engineering support.
- Translate technical and non-technical information related to energy programs and equipment.
- Conduct user acceptance testing on web applications for end-users.
- Provide technical support by debugging, reproducing, documenting, and resolving issues in web application systems.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree with a quantitative focus, e.g., environmental science, engineering, information systems management, or a similar quantitative field, or a non-technical field with some technical experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent personal accountability and organization skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems involving formulas or complex data sets independently.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in working in a mission-driven and collaborative team environment.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior energy industry and/or technical experience, such as knowledge of energy-efficient technologies or the ability to read, write, or understand simple code snippets.
- Ability to enable the implementation of energy efficiency and electrification programs through launching and monitoring low-code solutions on proprietary software platforms.
- Experience in tackling implementation responsibilities for large energy efficiency programs, including claim processing, outreach support, or engineering support.
- Experience in translating energy program and equipment details from non-technical to technical audiences, and vice versa.
- Experience conducting user acceptance testing on web applications.
- Providing technical support to peers in non-technical roles by working with internal clients to debug, reproduce, document, and fix problems on production web application systems.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $60,000 to $70,000, with a target compensation of $60,000 to $66,500 based on experience and qualifications
