Job Description

The Associate Director of Emerging Energy Technologies at Energy Solutions leads the deployment and strategic development of innovative energy technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, manage projects and teams, and collaborate with utility and industry partners to shape the future of energy efficiency and climate solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for the emerging technology portfolio
  • Lead a team of project managers and engineers to develop and implement ET programs aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions
  • Oversee and develop project portfolio strategy, allocate resources, and manage workload and staffing
  • Maintain and develop client relationships, serving as a trusted partner
  • Manage team performance, supervision, and professional development
  • Lead relationship management with internal and external partners to ensure collaboration and resource allocation
  • Provide expert guidance on advanced building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and water heating
  • Translate complex technical information into clear strategies for non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience including at least 5 years in a supervisory and leadership capacity.
  • Familiarity with the North American market, especially the Pacific Northwest region, for energy efficiency, demand response, demand management, distributed generation, storage, and distribution management.
  • Demonstrate outstanding problem solving, quantitative, and analytical skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and provide solutions.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Strong client management and project management experience.
  • Proven track record of successful supervision or organizational leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership to achieve energy and climate goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage time and organize competing priorities.

Benefits & Perks

Compensation range of $110,000 - $145,000 annually, with a target range of $110,000 - $130,500 annually
