Job Description

This co-op position involves assisting with the pilot production of refractory heater elements for a thermal energy storage technology aimed at electrifying industry and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The role focuses on scaling up manufacturing processes and deepening understanding of producing these high-temperature components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with pilot production of E-Cast refractory heater elements
  • Support efforts to scale up production of heater elements
  • Contribute to understanding and improving the manufacturing process at scale

Requirements

  • Assist with pilot production of E-Cast refractory heater elements at the Medford, MA facility.
  • Contribute to scaling up production of refractory heater elements which form the basis of the Joule Hive thermal battery.
  • Deepen understanding of producing refractory heater elements at scale through hands-on work.
  • Report to the Senior Test Engineer.
