The Senior Electrochemist will design, evaluate, and improve electrode materials for high-efficiency electrolyzers, conduct experimental research, analyze performance data, and contribute to scaling and safety initiatives as part of Dioxycle's innovative carbon utilization technology development team.
Key Responsibilities
Design and fabricate advanced electrode materials and structures for high-efficiency electrolyzers
Perform electrochemical evaluations to assess activity and durability of electrocatalysts
Analyze failure modes and develop mitigation strategies
Improve electrode design for scalability
Conduct experimental work and analyze electrolyzer performance data
Contribute to experimental planning to enhance electrolyzer performance
Document technical processes and maintain detailed maintenance logs
Participate in R&D initiatives to improve laboratory operations and quality control
Foster a culture of safety in the laboratory
Requirements
Possess at least a PhD or equivalent industry experience in electrochemistry.
Design and fabricate advanced electrode materials and structures tailored for high efficiency electrolyzers.
Perform electrochemical evaluations to assess activity and durability of electrocatalysts.
Analyze failure modes and develop mitigation strategies.
Improve electrode design to ensure compatibility with scaling processes.
Conduct hands-on experimental work and analysis documentation, including post-processing and interpretation of electrolyzer performance.
Contribute to experimental plans to deepen understanding of, and unlock improvements in, electrolyzer performance.
Pilot contribute to R D-wide initiatives such as improving maintenance strategies to improve laboratory operations and quality control and testing processes.
Actively foster a culture of safety in the laboratory.
