Job Description
The Pilot Operations Manager oversees the smooth operation and management of Dioxycle's pilot projects, ensuring safety, resource availability, and compliance while coordinating with engineering teams and external vendors during the transition from R&D to industrial scaling.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the operations of all current and future pilot sites, ensuring smooth execution according to experimental plans
- Recruit, manage, and coordinate internal technicians/operators and external resources such as vendors and contractors
- Ensure pilot spaces are well-stocked, equipped, and maintained
- Collaborate with engineering teams for analysis of pilot runs
- Work with the Health Safety Manager to ensure safety compliance and site safety
- Ensure resource availability and manage budgets to prevent operational bottlenecks
- Conduct risk assessments and contribute to developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in pilot operations or a related field.
- Ability to ensure that all pilot spaces are well-stocked, equipped, and maintained.
- Ability to ensure each pilot runs smoothly according to the experimental plan defined by the engineering team.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams for analysis of pilot runs.
- Experience working closely with a Health Safety Manager to ensure full safety on all sites and compliance with all relevant health safety regulations.
- Ability to ensure that necessary resources and team members, both internal and external, are available to prevent bottlenecks in pilot run operations and to ensure budget compliance.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and contributing to writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Experience managing external vendors and contractors and ensuring budget compliance.
