Job Description
The Pilot Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation and management of Dioxycle's pilot projects, coordinating internal teams and external partners to ensure safety, resource availability, and adherence to experimental plans during the transition from R&D to industrial piloting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the operations of all current and future pilot sites, ensuring smooth execution according to experimental plans
- Recruit, manage, and coordinate internal technicians/operators and external resources such as vendors and contractors
- Ensure pilot spaces are well-stocked, equipped, maintained, and compliant with safety regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams for analysis of pilot runs
- Conduct risk assessments and contribute to developing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Oversee resource allocation and budget compliance for pilot operations
- Work with Health Safety Manager to ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all sites
Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in pilot operations or a related field.
- Ability to ensure that all pilot spaces are well-stocked, equipped, and maintained.
- Ability to ensure each pilot runs smoothly according to the experimental plan defined by the engineering team.
- Ability to work closely with the engineering team for analysis of pilot runs.
- Ability to work closely with the Health Safety Manager to ensure full safety on all sites and compliance with all relevant health safety regulation.
- Ability to ensure that there are always necessary resources and team internal and external so that pilot runs operations are never bottlenecked and ensure budget compliance.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and contributing to writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Experience in managing external vendors and contractors and ensuring budget compliance.
