Job Description

The Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, including security, inventory management, shipping, and team leadership, ensuring safety, efficiency, and accurate fulfillment at a renewable energy company's facility in Fuquay-Varina, NC.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, labeling, put-away, quality checks, and documentation of materials.
Oversee order fulfillment, shipping, and coordination of inbound and outbound freight.
Ensure physical security, safety, and maintenance of the warehouse facility.
Lead and develop warehouse staff, including training and performance management.
Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct cycle counts, and ensure data integrity in the system.
Coordinate with Supply Chain and field operations to manage stock levels, parts staging, and delivery.
Handle vendor and carrier issues, including shipping discrepancies, damages, and claims.
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse functions.
Generate and provide reports on warehouse metrics, inventory, and KPIs.

Requirements

Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted throughout the workday.
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse facility for the majority of the workday, as this is not a desk-based role.
Must hold a current forklift certification or be able to obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire.
Experience operating pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment is preferred.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment subject to varying temperatures, noise levels, and regular exposure to industrial equipment and materials.
At least 2 to 4 years of experience in warehousing fulfillment and/or inventory management, with a background in renewable energy preferred.
