Job Description
The Solutions Buyer is responsible for managing procurement processes, supporting strategic sourcing, maintaining vendor relationships, and driving process improvements within the supply chain for a renewable energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end purchase order process ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives to meet project and operational needs
- Serve as primary liaison with suppliers, including onboarding and issue resolution
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and the Approved Vendor List
- Monitor purchase order status, shipment dates, and follow up to prevent delays
- Communicate with suppliers regarding qualification, onboarding, and order updates
- Implement process improvements and standard operating procedures within the Supply Chain team
Requirements
- 2-5 years of sourcing or procurement experience required and/or 2 years of renewable energy experience.
- Ability to analyze challenges, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions in fast-paced project environments.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint with experience using ERP or procurement systems preferred.
