The Solutions Buyer is responsible for managing procurement processes, supporting strategic sourcing, maintaining vendor relationships, and driving process improvements within the supply chain for a renewable energy company.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end purchase order process ensuring accuracy and compliance
Support strategic sourcing initiatives to meet project and operational needs
Serve as primary liaison with suppliers, including onboarding and issue resolution
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and the Approved Vendor List
Monitor purchase order status, shipment dates, and follow up to prevent delays
Communicate with suppliers regarding qualification, onboarding, and order updates
Implement process improvements and standard operating procedures within the Supply Chain team
Requirements
2-5 years of sourcing or procurement experience required and/or 2 years of renewable energy experience.
Ability to analyze challenges, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions in fast-paced project environments.
Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint with experience using ERP or procurement systems preferred.
