The internship involves monitoring and supporting the operation of utility-scale solar power plants through SCADA systems, gaining hands-on experience in industrial automation, energy systems, and control systems while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control the real-time performance of utility-scale PV plants using SCADA systems
Maintain and organize SCADA documentation, network diagrams, and system configurations
Support data collection, analysis, and reporting from SCADA systems
Assist with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of SCADA alarms, points, and dashboards
Participate in system upgrades, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with engineers, operators, and IT OT teams on assigned projects
Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Basic understanding of SCADA, PLCs, automation systems, or industrial networks is a plus
Familiarity with data analysis tools, databases, or scripting languages such as Python, SQL, etc., is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Networking and firewall experience
Ability to learn quickly and work well in a team environment
Good communication and documentation skills
